My sister and I are both licensed Realtors, in different states, so when we lost both of our parents last year and in turn inherited the home they had in Chapel Hill, listing with a local Realtor was not something we were considering doing at all. Is it a good idea to make the most significant investment you are about to make in your life, purchasing a new home, using a close friend as your realtor?

Probably not. Unless Modi is that friend.

Modi helps his clients to buy a house, as he would have bought it for his own family. While his dedication was not new to us, we were privileged to encounter the professional side of Modi. This way, we learned many new things. For example, we always knew, as friends, that we shouldn’t contact Modi too late at night. As a realtor, on the other hand, it was a whole different story. Modi was available 24/7. In most cases he was the one to call us at night just to make sure everything is set for the next day, or just to inquire whether we have any other questions about the offer, the mortgage, the taxes, the inspection, etc. It seemed he was living his professional life around us, while we actually know he served successfully many other clients at the same time, each of them getting the same personal, dedicated service.
